After two weeks of posturing, three intense days of feverish research, and an all-night compilation session (6pm-midnight) with the entire group at my place, the final portfolio analysis on Centerpoint is done! What a ridiculious requirement it is to do a 100-page research project on a corporation with five subsidiaries in three different industries! This is what Dr. Strain required of us, in a summer session class no less! The last thing I wanted to do in my final class of my collegiate tenure is work harder than I’ve ever worked in my entire life! But alas, it is done. The group was working feverishly until four minutes from the midnight deadline to make sure all the requirements were met. It got pretty rough there for a minute after me and Anika polished off the bottle of Pepperwood Cabarnet but I’m fairly certain that we have an acceptable final project. Still, you can never tell with Dr. Strain, the most rigid and notoriously the toughest teacher at our business school. Its definately too bad we still have essentially two finals coming up in these coming days, in addition to an hour-long presentation on the aforementioned report on wednesday. Hopefully, in 2 weeks, I’ll be looking back at this in retrospect and laughing from a beach on a tropical island in the middle of the pacific ocean! I tell you what… my pending vacation just can’t get here soon enough!
