Manila 2006

I’ve been in the soutern portion of Manila for a few days unwinding at my uncle/aunt’s place, the beautiful Victorio estate in Ayala Alabang after the Cebu Trip. Day after tommorow, I leave for Taipai, then back home to Houston after the day. Sigh… Home. Mixed feelings definately.

Wednesday – Spent today touring with my Aunt Marilee. First went to Ortegas near Quezon City, visiting Krista’s university, Ateneo, and doing a drive through of state-run University of the Philippines (UP). Spent an hour walking through the Ateneo college and hanging out. Ro me, it closely resembled the look of Texas State in San Marcos, with the trees and all. I must say, the quality of the girls at Ateneo blows away any other school here in the Philippines or UHD at home. Besides that, the school may boast that it is arguably the best university in the nation. both academic and reputation-wise. Very nice. Afterwards drove through Ortegas and passed Quezon Memorial and large corporate notables before heading off to greenhills for shoppings. Bought some Versace and LV stuff and about 8 bottles of cologne. I think I have all the majors covered now. Like christmas. Very happy.

Picked up Krista afterwards and checked out Hamptons Condo my parents are seriously considering buying in the Fort Bonifacio area, central to Makati, Ortegas, & Alabang, for investment. The property in fronting Manila Golf and the Makati Skyline. Premium realty for sure and a great investment, IMO. Below are pics of the unit we’re thinking of buying on the 18th floor of The Hamptons. I think I want it. If I work in Manila, I’m definately living here.
