Kadayawan Festival/Parade
The following pictures are from the Kadayawan Festival that took place in Davao the week of August 14th. This festival celebrates the history of the indigeneous peoples of the region, with the different tribes that originally inhabited Davao showing off native dances and wear. During the night, the city is much akin to a Mardi Gras festival or Brazil’s carnival, with stages set up all over downtown and plenty of partying until the wee hours of the morning.
